When I'm staring at ceilings, on my yoga mat, or in hotel rooms, I always see little characters in the ceiling ornaments. like the clouds outside. And that's why I wondered; why are there no modern, pop culture-like ceiling ornaments? And so I decided to make them myself. This is the first in a series I'm developing. For this prototype I brought my love for character design together with a drawing by Ernst Janszoon Post that I found in the Rijksstudio archive.
